THE COURSE


Develop your English language skills within a legal context, and prepare for the Test of Legal English Skills (TOLES). The Legal English is a full intensive course that covers fifteen areas of law and includes the study of real court trials in order to enhance the learning experience of the students.

THE CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

 

Established in 1964, Wimbledon School of English is one of the oldest English language schools in the UK. The school was founded in Wimbledon Village by Mrs Marjorie Housden and she began by teaching English to overseas students who were living and working locally. Over the past 53 years, WSE has developed a reputation as one of the best schools in the UK. THE COURSE


This full-time intensive 4-week course is intended for law students and practising lawyers who work or intend to work in an international legal setting. The course covers a broad range of Legal English topics, with an integrated focus on the preparation for The TOLES Exam – Test of Legal English Skills. The course is for students at Higher Intermediate Plus level and above (B2 and above on CEFR).

Course participants work on improving all four English skills within a commercial law context, in addition to learning specific legal terminology and how to use it appropriately.
